Mark Brzezicki was born June 21st 1957, Slough, London, England. His early bands include New York City Public Library (the three Brzezicki brothers \"house\" band) Silver Stream (with John Land), Flying Brzezicki Brothers (Mark and Steve) and Rhythm For Hire (session duo with Tony Butler) 1980.
However, Mark is probably best known for his work as the drummer for Big Country. With that group he appeared on no less than 19 discs (including compilations and live releases). Big Country\'s big break with the \'Crossing\' and \'Steeltown\' albums. He has continued to play with Big Country and appears on all the albums, apart from \"Buffalo Skinners\".
He has also worked with a wide variety of other artists. These include Pete Townsend and Townsend\'s former bandmate Roger Daltrey. Mark played on all Pete Townsend\'s solo albums \'Empty Glass\' and \'All the Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes\' (and later \'White City\'). Mark has also crossed into the progressive rock genre by performing with former Marillion vocalist Fish on several releases. His resumé also includes albums by artists as diverse as the Cult, Canadian group Red Rider, Joan Armatrading, Howard Jones, Rick Astley, and Midge Ure. He also played in Procol Harum. |
