Richard was born in London, which is where he resides today. As a trumpet player he has enjoyed touring the world, recording and gigging with many artists including Blur, The Stranglers, Robbie Williams, Duran Duran, The Pet Shop Boys, Boy George, Wet Wet Wet, Super Furry Animals, Gary Barlow, Jimmy Nail, Fat Les, Shirley Bassey, Peggy Lee, Spiritualized, Eddie Reader, Smashmouth, Jimmy Witherspoon, John Williams, Kenny Thomas and Herbert Gronemeyer. He has been involved with The SAS Band for many years now, enjoying gigs with them from Morocco to The Arctic Circle to Bulgaria.
