Andy Gathercole has been a freelance trumpeter in London since 1988, working in all areas of performance ranging across live concerts, tours, theatre, studio, film and television work.
Andy has backed a wide range of singers including Bryn Terfel, Maria Ewing, Michael Crawford, Michael Ball, Shirley Bassey, Westlife, Charlotte Church, Maria Friedman to name a few.
He has also played and recorded with the National Symphony Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, John Wilson Orchestra, Syd Lawrence Orchestra and the Glenn Miller Orchestra UK.
Jazz credits include Billy Cobham, Mike Westbrook, Barbara Thompson and the London Jazz Orchestra. Recent film soundtracks include ‘Beyond the Sea’, ‘Severence’ and ‘Valiant’.
Recent West End theatre credits include ‘Spamalot’, ‘The Producers’, ‘Guys and Dolls’, ‘Anything Goes’ and ‘My Fair Lady’. |
