Dear Friends of The SAS Band,Momentum is building for Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday party in Hyde Park, London, to be held on Friday, 27th June 08. The good and the great are lining up to appear and the production/rehearsal schedule is being planned at this moment. Full 'official' details will be made public very shortly and tickets are due to go on sale very soon. After Mandela all attention will turn to the Queen rehearsals in preparation for the Queen + Paul Rodgers Tour, which kicks off in Moscow on 16th September.
If any of you fancy a trip to Sweden, The SAS Band will be appearing at The Beach Party Festival in Pite Havsbad on Saturday, 5th July. We are also looking at a possible London show in June, but it's early days, so watch this space.
